Everything about Baybrook Mall totally explained

Baybrook Mall, is a shopping mall located 30 km southeast of downtown Houston at Interstate 45 South and Bay Area Blvd in Friendswood, Texas, United States. It has four major anchors and more than 175 stores and restaurants. It has 1,240,000 square feet (115,200 ) of retail space, making it one of the largest shopping malls in Houston.
The mall opened in 1978 and has consistently upgraded its tenant base as many of the neighborhoods surrounding Baybrook, largely comprised of employees from the NASA Johnson Space Center and related industries, have become largely affluent.
Macy's built their store in 1985 and remained there until it was sold to Dillard's in 1997. Foley's built their store in 2005 and the mall had a Macy's store again after the Federated-May merger in 2006.
The mall's anchor stores are Dillard's, JCPenney, Macy's, and Sears, with one vacant anchor store formerly occupied by Mervyn's (which closed in 2006). As of September 2007, no plans have been finalized for the shuttered Mervyn's, but according to some mall officials the building of a Lifestyle Center is strongly being considered.
